Background
Building on its successful runs from 2014 to 2017, NUS Enterprise and DBS Foundation are pleased to announce the 5th edition of the DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia (SVC Asia), slated to launch on 2nd April 2018.
The DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia is an Asia-wide competition for social enterprises open to any member of the public. Organized by NUS Enterprise in partnership with the DBS Foundation, the Challenge aims to identify and support new social ventures that have the potential to generate positive, sustainable and scalable social impact. Spanning over 7 months, the Challenge aims to raise awareness on social entrepreneurship and build a robust community of social entrepreneurs and capacity builders across Asia. It also provides multi-dimensional support for budding social entrepreneurs and builds capacity though public education in social entrepreneurship. With such dedicated learning platform and network, the increased awareness and support for budding social entrepreneurs will accelerate the impact of these ventures to solve today’s most pressing social problems.
Introduction to SVC Asia 2018
The DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia (SVC Asia) is an Asia-wide competition for social enterprises, open to any member of the public. Organised by DBS Foundation and NUS Enterprise, the Challenge aims to identify and support innovative new ideas and existing social ventures that have the potential to generate positive, scalable and sustainable social impact.
The 5th edition of SVC Asia has just launched on 2 April to better serve the emerging social enterprise scene in the region. This year’s Challenge offers a total prize money of over SGD$100,000 and a wider spectrum of support for promising social ventures. We also now have a stronger focus on innovation and sustainable social impact. Applications will close on 6 May 2018.
