The product is a web app providing education services specifically for people with disabilities, offering three services: Smart Room (formal and non-formal educational materials), Creation Room (skills training materials), and Inclusion Room (parent/family/companion support and increasing community awareness for effective communication with people with disabilities). Additionally, there are Instagram and YouTube channels to raise awareness among the general public. The reason for creating this product is the lack of disability education in Indonesia, as evidenced by BPS data in 2017, which showed that out of 1.6 million people with disabilities, 1.3 million did not receive inclusive services. According to Education Statistics 2018, the highest percentage of dropouts was 70.62% among people with disabilities. Moreover, the premature state of disability issues leads to a lack of awareness and concern among both the public and the government. The founder's family experience (with a visually impaired sibling) faced challenges accessing education during SBMPTN UTBK preparation. The target audience is people with disabilities aged 6-25 and their parents/family companions. Ruang Terang is essential because the web app is designed to be accessible to friends with disabilities, with simple features that can be easily accessed through talkback software. Additionally, each service is equipped with transcription features and includes sign language videos.
