The Youth Co:Lab National Springboard Amplifier 2024, co-led by UNDP Indonesia and Citi Foundation, with support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, is a program designed to strengthen Entrepreneurship Support Organizations (ESOs) and young changemakers across Indonesia. By empowering local actors, the program aims to sustain and enhance the social entrepreneurship ecosystem at the grassroots level.
Implemented by Platform Usaha Sosial (PLUS)—an organization with years of experience in Youth Co:Lab initiatives—the program successfully attracted 105 applicants from across the country, selecting 50 participants for this year’s cohort. Once selected, participants underwent a structured learning journey to enhance their capacity to support local entrepreneurs and organizations effectively.
The program’s learning process was delivered through a series of Workshops and Brown Bag sessions, focusing on practical toolkits and facilitation techniques. Designed as a collaborative learning experience, the program leveraged peer-to-peer knowledge sharing to enrich participants’ understanding. To ensure its effectiveness, the Asia-Pacific level curriculum was adapted to fit Indonesia’s local context. The curriculum development process involved three key stages:
- Re-learning the Springboard Amplifier curriculum to understand its core framework.
- Adapting and adjusting the curriculum based on the current ESO landscape in Indonesia.
- Incorporating participants’ questions to refine and contextualize the learning experience.
Applicants came from various regions across Indonesia, from Aceh to Papua, with the highest representation from East Java, West Java, and DKI Jakarta.
Participants rated the Youth Co:Lab National Springboard Amplifier 2024 highly, with an average score of 9 out of 10. Many noted that the program enhanced their knowledge and confidence in supporting businesses in their regions. Additionally, participants expressed a strong willingness to share their insights with other ESOs and enterprises, ensuring a broader impact beyond the program itself.
