DESCRIPTION:Hi Social Entrepreneurship Enthusiasts! \nA  joint initiative by Nanning Municipal D&R commission\, Cloudbae\, *SCAPE and StartupX\, the 2019 China – ASEAN New Smart City Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition aims to select the most innovative Smart City ideas from individuals\, youths\, enterprises\, organisations and institutions and further supports them with the opportunity to realise their ideas in the China-ASEAN Smart City Innovation center. The competition would focus on improving access to opportunities for entrepreneurs in ASEAN regions and promoting smart city development by taking advantage of digital technology with Singapore based as the collaboration hub for ASEAN. \n  \nWhy Participate? \n\n\nCash prizes up to a grand total of SGD$150K* \n\n\nUp to $20\,000 startup benefits and setup support and resources from StartupX\, Cloudbae\, Stripe\, Hubspot and other partners \n\n\nTickets to Nanning to pitch in the Grand Finals \n\n\nFree pitching workshop to prepare for Grand Finals in Nanning \n\n\nOpportunity to pitch on local Chinese TV \n\n\nOpportunity to testbed in Nanning and partner local Chinese companies \n\n\nTour the China-ASEAN Smart City Innovation Centre \n\n\nPromotional media opportunities in Singapore and China \n\n\n*Estimated value\, actual value subjected to currency exchange rate \n  \nHow Do I Participate? \nThere are 2 categories in this competition – Open and Startup Category \n\nThe open category is for students and individuals with early-stage smart city ideas. No MVP is required. \nThe startup category is for established startups working on smart city solutions with MVP and traction.\n\nInterested participants can submit their applications here. \n12 applicants per category (Total of 24 applicants) will be shortlisted to pitch at the semi-finals held in Singapore.
