For application details\, visit www.socialventurechallenge.asia for more information. \nBackground \nBuilding on its successful runs from 2014 to 2017\, NUS Enterprise and DBS Foundation are pleased to announce the 5th edition of the DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia (SVC Asia)\, slated to launch on 2nd April 2018.\nThe DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia is an Asia-wide competition for social enterprises open to any member of the public. Organized by NUS Enterprise in partnership with the DBS Foundation\, the Challenge aims to identify and support new social ventures that have the potential to generate positive\, sustainable and scalable social impact. Spanning over 7 months\, the Challenge aims to raise awareness on social entrepreneurship and build a robust community of social entrepreneurs and capacity builders across Asia. It also provides multi-dimensional support for budding social entrepreneurs and builds capacity though public education in social entrepreneurship. With such dedicated learning platform and network\, the increased awareness and support for budding social entrepreneurs will accelerate the impact of these ventures to solve today’s most pressing social problems. \nIntroduction to SVC Asia 2018 \nThe DBS-NUS Social Venture Challenge Asia (SVC Asia) is an Asia-wide competition for social enterprises\, open to any member of the public.
